to be overwhelmed by ecstatic joy, a state of ecstasy or rapture.
Flowers make me swoon. The very definition of the word swoon is: to become very excited about someone or something....to become enraptured. Flowers have their own language. They tell their own story. Beautiful flowers create the magic of an event. The wedding day and all of its glory is an extension of a bride and groom’s personality, relationship and journey. Being a part of the creative process that captures that and the challenge of making it all happen is what I love most about my job. The sight, the smell, the color, the weight of them in the hand of a bride all add to the memory of that day, thus making me swoon. Every. Single. Time.
I moved to Statesboro, Georgia in 1995 to attend Georgia Southern University and never left. I adore that I get to call “The Boro” home and consider the slow pace of southeast Georgia one of life’s greatest pleasures. It’s a place where you can actually smell Georgia Southern Eagle football and peanuts being pulled from the earth in the air when late August/early September rolls around. I met, chased down, slightly stalked and finally caught my husband Cliff while attending GSU and got to have the wedding day of my dreams in 2000. I consider the two precious short people that we brought into this world my greatest creative endeavor yet and I know they will remember their mama as having the freakish ability to quote movie lines at any given moment, loving the beach, smelling like Chanel and wearing so many bracelets on her wrists that she jingles like a gypsy. My cup runneth over!
